Wait... everyone complains about Sony's marketing but bitches about their decision to fire a lot of the PR team?? smh...
I dont care too much of MS numbers but one things for sure: they have done a phenomenal job this generation.
Who would have thought they would have given this much trouble to Sony after their 4 year support of the original Xbox and 20million of em sold.
@Frank .. If you think there hasn't been any unique game experiences with awesome script writing, then you sir, are sadly mistaken.
Like Trenta said, the same stories are always being told... Its just HOW they are told is what sets them apart.
Microsoft is catering to the masses right now. Their conference is going to concentrate more on getting the kids/family/older crowds. You have got to remember: any "hardcore" gamer probably already has a 360/PS3.
One thing that you can not do is under-estimate what Microsoft can pull off in E3. Everyone seems to let their guard down and then MS's big 'unforeseen' projects/games/deals end up being such colossal announcements because of the low expectation...
I could see a slight possibility in Sony releasing an 'official' PS3 Slim @ a $199 price-point. That would be a phenomenal announcement that would really spike sales for their upcoming year.
The draw-back with that idea is that Sony not only would market a 'new' PS3 hardware... but within one year, it would have to market an even 'newer' piece of hardware, the PS4. They would have to consider how confused that could make the public; marketing would pro...
The most loved is always the most hated. Just like Sony at the beginning of this generation.
Holy sh**
Everything Sony does, everyone criticizes... my god.
If you want to buy a game on the PSN that costs $5.99... You can add exactly $5.99 to your "wallet" and pay exact. If you want to put $10 that's your choice. You don't have to have 'left over funds' if you don't want to on PSN.
Big difference when your only options is increments of 400 MS points o Live.
You're at war, in hostile territory, you've watched plenty of crazy terrorists trying every dirty trick in the book just to kill a soldier. You're trying to prevent any more chaos that they may cause. Picturing me in their shoes, I don't see anything wrong with what they were saying. They're assuming they were bad guys and wanted to take 'em out ASAP before they can do any harm.
Everyone here is watching this already knowing that they were actually not harmful. Everyone here is w...
I'm looking very forward for this E3, very promising. Since we've only seen glimpses and pre-recorded demoes for Natal, I'm hyped about what they can do with it (a lot is riding on it). Some more Move games of course, and for some reason, I'm thinking Sony is going to drop some BIG news. I think they're rolling their sleeves and reaching for the club on this E3.
@Pennywise Red Dead Redemption is Rockstar's Western Sandbox, I'm highly anticipating this one (something about western...
When you see pretty much the same gameplay... people whine [and give lower scores]. When they switch up the gameplay... people still whine... -.-
I'm definitely excited for this game. A new take on a western game and looks to be done right. Can't wait.
Alpha-Male, remember GoW2 came out a year AFTER the PS3 and 2 yrs after the 360. Not all 140million PS2 owners were still playing video games, let alone on a PS2. Just because a bigger install base doesn't necessarily mean more sales. It all depends on if the owners are active gamers.

GoWIII was a thrill ride for me. This is the only franchise I've really enjoyed and get really hyped about. I find huge interest in Greek Mythology and this game fitted very well with...
I don't know if anyone followed the music business back in ... what... 2008? What do you guys think of pulling the same thing Kanye West VS 50 Cent did, and doing the same with Halo: Reach VS Killzone 3. The underdog of sales, Killzone 3 would easily feed off the marketing blitz from Halo. Every interview, every article and every person would mention Killzone when speaking about Halo.
Only drawback is would Killzone 3 be ready by the time Halo arrives?
I like Pachter. You guys act like "nobody" asks him questions... and he "doesn't" answer them.
Obviously, some interviewer asked him "if Microsoft’s investment was worth it." and he responded.
Quit giving the guy so much sh= all the time. (Not all, just some)
This is an artists concept.
I do agree on the XMB needing an overhaul. Not totally change it completely but make it more "connected / user friendly". I've been playing a lot more on the 360 for the past couple months and even though I prefer my PS3 overall, I do agree that the 360's interface and online all feels connected.
Don't take the PS3's sleek design but not bombard it with bright colors like the 360 either. Add pizzaz, make it flow well all together...
With any game, not just talking about GoW3 but any... When someone says "same gameplay" .... it drives me nuts. What did you expect? FPS to go hack-n-slash for you to be satisfied? Or maybe GoW3 as a first person shooter? ... Its dumb. If you play a sequel, and the game mechanics is smoother, adds more play to the mechanics, and is better than before then that's all you need.
This is most likely why they're on short supply. Sony's trying to get this model out rather than the others.
Playstation Move could overcome Natal as far as motion functionality goes and even sales. The way I'm thinking of it is pretty logical, the PS Move isn't revolutionary but it does base off something already successful, the Wii. First thing is first, A LOT of Wii games are going to be ported to the PS3, quickly try to upgrade the graphics and boom! More games on the PS3. After a while... games will start to be created FIRST on the PS3 then ported to the Wii. So now all 3rd party companies wor...
Wait... what original fighting has had like 30 characters to play with???
You build a strong foundation, try to balance out the fighters the best way you can, and then you create more and more characters for the following sequels...
